Monster

BY DEREK SISOUPHONE

ABOUT

From fashion and dance, to music and acting, the Arts is an amazing and moving world. Yet, it is important to know how dangerous and scary it can be behind the curtains. The different forms of abuse, the silent voices, it is a perpetuating journey and battle in the industry. Through the mental abuse and psychological trauma Derek has suffered and overcome growing up, this is a metaphoric story of an abuse he's lived and battled.

RUN TIME: (03:00)

TRIGGER WARNINGS:

  • Symbolic facial expressions

  • Physical movements paralleling abuse

En mi hogar

BY PIPER BOCKSTAHLER

ABOUT

I want to tattoo you on my skin as a forever reminder of home, your passion, your importance, your love. I struggle to maintain the intensity of connection. Frustrated with life, with myself, as I see it slip through my fingers, fighting to find myself by unpacking the roots of my culture.

dream

BY SOPHIA METCALF

ABOUT

Dream explores themes of gender expression and sexuality. As José Esteban Muñoz wrote, "We may never touch queerness, but we can feelit as the warm illumination of a horizon imbued with potentiality.” Dream pays homage to this, and imagines a world beyond the here and now.

ZU SEIN

BY JESÚS LÓPEZ VARGAS, PAN-PAN GOU & ERIKA CLARK

ABOUT

I tell stories because it's the only thing I've ever known to do. Is it that which keeps me strong or that which keeps me tethered and unstable? Why is it that each time I tell a story, it takes a toll on me? A piece of me that gets torn away and played with. Made with. And how do I know which part comes next.... through this ritual of making, doing & sharing? All I know is that today, another piece of me has died.
